On Independence Day 2026, I will be marching with the Ernest A. Love Legion Post 6 Honor Guard in the local parade in Prescott, Arizona.
As we gear up for the big day, July 4th, I feel compelled to share with you the reasons (in words and photos) why I am proud to be a citizen of the United States of America.
Here’s why I am proud to be an American (in no particular order):
- Our country has a dream that millions of people come here to achieve. The American Dream is worth fighting for.

I’m with you all the way! My relatives on both side of my family tree came to America during WW2 from Russia, Germany and Sweden because they wanted their children to be able to be whatever they wanted to be. And yes we have been able to do that and so have my children. America is a country that accepts all foreigners when they come in the right way. Mine came in through Liberty Island!
